Pedal Syndicate Monmouth was the vision of Gareth Sheppard and Ian Officer, and took taken nearly 3 years to become reality. 

Gareth and Ian also own Pedalabikeaway, the cycle centre in the Forest of Dean.

Gareth has been mountain biking since the early 90’s, and raced at world cup and world championship level, before switching to racing on the road.

After completing a BSc in Sport Science, and later a MBA Gareth went on to work on the British Cycling High Performance Team, taking the team to London 2012.

Post London he went to work with Ian at Pedalabikeaway in the Forest of Dean, and they also co-own local guiding and coaching company WYE MTB.

Ian is a former Operations Director at PGL, before deciding to pursue his passion for bikes and great coffee.

They are supported by Martin Jordon, the Workshop Manager who has over 20 years experience on the tools and is the current Welsh Enduro Champion

Amy Griffiths, the shop manager, is also a top female rider who absolutely shreds on the bike. She is also a cytech qualified mechanic, so perfect to advise you on all your mechanical needs.
