Pedal Syndicate was the vision of Gareth Sheppard and Ian Officer, and took taken nearly 3 years to become reality.

Gareth and Ian also own Pedalabikeaway based at the trail head in the Forest of Dean.

Gareth has been mountain biking since the early 90’s, and raced at world cup and world championship level, before switching to racing on the road.

After completing a BSc in Sport Science, and later a MBA Gareth went on to work on the British Cycling High Performance Team, taking the team to London 2012.

Post London he bought into Pedalabikeaway with Ian in the Forest of Dean, as they saw the potential the FOD had to become a real riding destination.

Ian is a former Operations Director at PGL for over 20 years, before deciding to pursue his passion for bikes and great coffee, and buying Pedalabikeaway from Fred and Hilary Carpenter when they retired in 2011.

Martin Jordan is the Workshop Manager who has nearly 30 years experience on the tools. What Martin doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing and you can rest assured your bike is in good hands. Mart also loves the smell of a 2 stroke in the morning and is the current Welsh Enduro Champion.
